This qualification is designed in terms of Section 83(1) of the MFMA (Act No.56 of 2003), to help accounting officers, senior managers, Chief Financial Officers and other financial officials in municipalities meet the prescribed financial management competency levels.

The course explores key concepts, issues and techniques necessary to manage finances, such as budgeting, cash-flow management, variance analysis, financial statements, asset registers, ratio analysis, fraud prevention, procurement management, and financial management legislation

The Digital Marketing programme introduces key principles of marketing, advertising, and sales in the digital environment.  Digital Marketing techniques on Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and other emerging social media platforms will also be discussed.

The participants will gain an understanding of Cybersecurity and network threats, vulnerabilities, data security, risk management, development of a Cybersecurity plan, an emergency management procedure, and disaster recovery.

The participants will explore a range of tools, algorithms, Machine Learning and statistical techniques, with the aim of discovering hidden insights and patterns from raw data in order to inform scientific business decision making.

The programme delegates will learn how to solve problems and use design thinking tools to drive innovation within their organisations.  Critical success and failure factors are explored.

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) programme explores the development of computer systems which are capable of performing tasks that normally require human intelligence.
