The rope access course developed by the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) over the last 25 years has become Internationally recognised and is the chosen means of access for multiple sectors including the oil, gas and wind industries.

The aim of this course is to enable a trainee to use a safety harness for personal fall prevention when working at height.

This course has been designed for people who require a basic understanding of the New Zealand Co-Ordinated Incident Management (CIMS) framework

At the successful completion of the course the trainee will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the fire classes and fire suppression techniques, select and implement a strategy to deal with fire.

This course is designed to train people to identify the health and safety risks of the chemicals in a workplace; and to identify, select and apply the legislated and other controls designed to minimise the exposure of workers to these risks, and ensure the proper reporting.

This course is designed to inform workers in the construction industry about asbestos, including its uses, health hazards and the safety procedures that should be followed when it is present.
