Ashley Sling is hosting a Qualified Rigger & Crane Signals Training Session. It will be conducted at the Ashley Sling Training Center. Lunch will be provided during the full day session. Light snacks and drinks will be available during both sessions.

The Comtrain Crane Spotter & Signal Person course will give each student the basic understanding of operating and signaling for lifting operations. This course covers subjects such as Standards, Safety, and Hand Signals.

This class prepares managers and supervisors to review or prepare lift plans, develop safety procedures for workers directly related to crane and rigging hazards and to protect other workers and trades that may be exposed to the crane hazards.

This course will provide the skills necessary to safely operate a variety of pedestal cranes, perform daily inspections, communicate with riggers and DSPs during lifts to ensure overall safety.

Crane Operators rely on Crane Signalers to ensure loads are safely moved throughout your worksite and to ensure the safety of all workers. In order to signal a crane, you must receive Crane Signal Person Safety Training.

Overhead Crane Safety training is offered by Central for Industrical Services Institute. The UT CIS Health, Safety and Emergency Preparedness team offers onsite training to a variety of manufacturing, public works/utility, healthcare and public and private sector organizations.

This class fits in as an integral part of an employer’s program to educate its employees in the safe operation of industrial overhead cranes.
