Lifting Operation and safety course is offered by Austin Safety Council. ASC is the safety training and occupational health facility specifically serving Austin. We create, manage, and deliver customized training for the industries powering the city’s growth.

This course is part of the requirements to be qualified to use or operate an aerial lift on campus. Topics include training requirements, fall protection, lift setup, weather information, and lift inspection. This course is required to be taken every 3 years.

MEWP, or Mobile Elevated Work Platform, has become the new term for aerial work platforms. This term encompasses both boom lifts and scissor lifts. With Lonestar Forklift’s Blended MEWP Training course you can receive certification to operate both a scissor lift and a boom lift.
