COURSES OFFERED BY ETUDES DANCE STUDIO

The focus of the adult class will be on fun & exercise while learning jazz, lyrical & hip hop moves and combos.

Hip Hop classes is offered by ETUDES Dance Studio. Dancers will learn hip hop moves and combos and perform a hip hop dance at the Spring Show.

Classes will focus on creativity, choreography, and perfecting jazz and lyrical technique. Dancers will also learn contemporary dance, an outgrowth of modern dance that explores the natural energy and emotions of the dancers. Jazz technique will be the focus of this class, but dancers will also learn lyrical dance. Lyrical dance uses ballet and jazz technique to interpret music and express emotion. A jazz dance and a lyrical dance will be performed at the Spring Show.

Ballet classes is offered by ETUDES Dance Studio. Dancers will learn a ballet or a jazz dance. They will focus on ballet technique and fun jazz moves.

Dancers will study ballet technique in soft shoe and on pointe to classical music with a focus on grace, posture, balance, jumps, turns, extensions, and expression.

Tap classes is offered by ETUDES Dance Studio. Dancers make rhythmic movements and sounds with their feet using tap shoes.

Dancers can learn a jazz, ballet, tap, pointe, lyrical, or contemporary solo or duet.  Classes include choreography and 10 half-hour private sessions with the choreographer.

Accomplished dancers who want to perform characters in a dance production can join the Performing Company. Dancers are taught to express and act out their characters through dance. They also learn about choreography, costume design, stage make-up, and props.
