Studies have shown an increased risk for various cancers, specifically brain cancer, in healthcare workers occupationally exposed to ionizing radiation. This course takes a closer look at the risks of radiation to hospital workers and patients and ways to help decrease the risk.

This course offers information to employees on ways to protect themselves from these hazards in confined spaces. Many workplaces contain spaces that are considered to be confined because their configurations hamper the activities of employees who must enter into, work in or exit from them.

This course will discuss the general requirements of scaffolding, the basic parts of a scaffold as well as the different types of scaffolding.
