This free motion class can be taken by any skill level, from the beginner to the expert. In this class you will learn the fundamentals of custom quilting design and techniques, as well as master techniques which will aid you in your quilting journey.

A Needle N Thread is your quilting lounge, so we’re here to adapt to your needs. Whether at a beginner or advanced level, our goal is to help you improve your technique and grow your love of sewing.

You need to know how to cast on, knit and purl. You will learn to knit in the round using 3 different methods allowing you to decide which is most comfortable for you. You may move on to create a hat or just gain the skill of knitting in the round, your choice.

Learn to cast on your stitches, including a slip-knot using the long-tail cast-on method. Then progress onto the knit stitch to begin adding length to your first project!

In this class, students will complete a small drawstring bag while learning the basics of using their machine and the basics of sewing, including learing to thread a sewing machine, wind bobbins, sew straight lines with 1/4" seam allowance, and finish a simple bag.
