The ballet syllabus starts with pre-ballet, which is an introduction to ballet.

Lyrical blends ballet and jazz techniques while allowing the dancer to express themselves through movement and through the lyrics of the song. 

The jazz syllabus is also based on a graded system. This system is introduced with pre-jazz and then develops through an additional 5 grades.

Hip Hop is an energetic form of dance that involves funky, street dancing steps. Hip Hop is unique to each dance teacher.

The tap syllabus is based on the Al Gilbert graded system. This system begins with pre-tap and proceeds through an additional 10 grades. 

?Contemporary is a combination of modern dance, floor work and contract and release movements.

Cecchetti method pays careful attention to the laws of anatomy while developing balance, poise, strength, evaluation, and elasticity. It is classic in its purity and lear-cut style.

Pointe starts with pre-ballet, which is an introduction to ballet. Pointe work is available to students who show the physical strength needed, while meeting proper age requirements to safely execute this style of dance.

The adult dancing program at Cathy's Dance Studio is for everyone, ages 18+. If you have never danced before and always wanted to learn or just want to get back into it, there is a class for you here. There are a number of adult students at all levels and various dance styles in our dance school.

We have put forth a dance program called “The Dream Team” where children and adults with exceptionalities find their own dance language.
