Hindi Language Course is offered by Columbia University Language Resource Center. promoting innovative approaches to learning across a broad range of languages as it seeks to foster better language teaching practices and methods for all its constituencies

The Arabic language program at MESAAS is one of the largest and most successful programs of its kind in the country. Many of its students have gone on to receive fellowships for language study abroad and other awards.

The Armenian language program is designed to introduce students to the Armenian world and culture as we know it today. With a vibrant Diaspora and an expanding, flourishing nation ranked country of the year in 2018 by the Economist, Armenia is the gateway to endless opportunities.

Bengali belongs to the Indo-Aryan sub-group of the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European family of languages.  It is an SVO (Subject x Verb x Object ‘I you love.’) language, which is written from left to right, like English.

Columbia offers Burmese language instruction through the Shared Course Initiative on a rotating basis: Elementary one year and Intermediate the following year. Advanced is offered every year.

The program reinforces its commitment to language instruction through its commitment to pedagogical research and innovation. Faculty and instructors develop all teaching materials used in the classroom, and many of these aides have gone into press for use well beyond Columbia.

This feature makes Czech grammar somewhat more challenging for a native speaker of English to master than, for example, the grammar of a Romance language like Spanish or Italian. However, other features of the language, such as its spelling and verbal system, are relatively simple.

The Dutch language provides access to a rich and complex culture and history. Although many Dutch speakers also know English, one must speak Dutch to truly understand and engage with Dutch culture and the regions where it is spoken.

Introduction to Filipino with an emphasis on mastering basic skills and working vocabulary. Linguistic rules are applied to enable the student to communicate with more competence.

In the United States, French is the fourth most used language throughout the country (spoken by about 10 million American citizens). It is the second most taught, after Spanish.
