COURSES OFFERED BY LUNDSTRUM PERFORMING ARTS

For boys and girls who love singing, acting and dancing. Students will study pre-ballet, tap fundamentals and creative play. They incorporate their new skills in a song and dance number from a Broadway show. Instruction includes live piano accompaniment.

Students engage in a high energy, urban street style dance, using a variety of movements from percussive to fluid. Instruction fuses many styles including old school, pop & lock, breaking & krumping, c-walk & freestyle. It’s always evolving and always fun!

Students study core placement and posture, extension and line, strength and stretch, and the vocabulary of ballet. Classes offered in beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Ballet is the “green vegetables” of dance!

Learn the basic vocabulary of tap, rhythms, weight changes, balance, foot articulation, shuffles, flaps and time steps. Dance to the tunes of Broadway Shows and lively tap tunes. Enjoy music of the 40’s, as well as original music by Marion and Lorraine Lundstrum.
