The goal of this program is to introduce students to the basics of First Aid, including how to apply First Aid techniques at work or in the community, as appropriate. Additionally, students will be introduced to the proper use and procedure of CPR.

NYST’s First aid, CPR, and AED course teaches students to respond to a number of first aid emergencies, such as burns, cuts, scrapes, falls, sudden illnesses, head and back injuries, asphyxiation and heat and cold injuries.  

The goal of this course is to provide students with an understanding of First Aid and CPR and what must be done in order to protect oneself from sun exposure.

This Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) course prepares the layperson to respond to choking, breathing and cardiac emergencies and how to use an AED unit. This National Safety Council course meets the current CPR guidelines using a combination of video.

This course will provide students with an overview of first aid and CPR training while covering different types of scenarios that may occur on the job.

This course includes the procedures for CPR and choking, heart attacks, strokes, Automated External Defibrillator (AED) introduction, as well as topics such as bleeding, shock, fainting, poisoning, epilepsy, diabetic emergencies, allergic reactions, burn accidents, heat and cold.

This 1-Hour First Aid And CPR training course will cover the importance of having a first aid kit on hand at all construction sites in case of an emergency, describes the legal issues of applying first aid, goes over the required components of a first aid kit.

This course EMS 110 will lead to certification as a New York State or National Registry EMT. This is the entry level certification for a career in Emergency Medical Services. Students must complete physical exam and immunization requirements prior to participating in this program.
