Rhodes School of Music offers a total of 10 courses.
Learn the hardware and software for electronic composition and audio production. Students will apply techniques learned in lessons to their weekly assignments to develop a sharp working knowledge of Logic, ProTools, PureData, and other music-making software.
Saxophone students will learn the fundamentals of music such as pitch, rhythm, intonation, and terminology. Assembly and care of the clarinet, ligature, reed placement, and maintenance are covered with all beginning students
Drum lessons combine a straightforward presentation of fundamental technique, along with the motivational framework to ignite students’ creative impulses. Students receive a solid foundation in the history and craft of drumming, but are encouraged to pursue their own artistic ambitions
Voice lessons combine vocal techniques, teacher assigned songs, and student selected music. Your teacher will give you tools to analyze your sound, listen to your own voice, and make adjustments that will take your singing over the top
All of our guitar lessons at Rhodes School of Music combine solid instruction in music fundamentals with the student’s personal interests and goals. Guitar students will learn chords, scales, terminology, and technique along with note reading, chord progressions, and theory
Beginning violin and viola students are taught to develop a proper and natural hold of the instrument and view it as a natural extension of the body
Cello students are taught to develop a proper and natural hold of the instrument and the bow. The names and pitches of the open strings and finger numbers are then explored and bowing techniques and finger positions are taught to enable the playing of simple melodies and exercises
Flute students will learn the fundamentals of music such as pitch, rhythm, intonation, and terminology. Assembly and care of the flute, and maintenance are covered with all beginning students
Our piano teachers ensure that all students learn the basics of music and musicianship with attention to note reading, rhythm, terminology, and technique. Students can focus on any style or genre from Classical to Rock and Jazz
