Basic Sewing Machine Instruction course is offered by Central Sewing Centre.

Sewing techniques include: installing zippers, hemming pants, pockets, Hong Kong seams, how to sew a sleeve (set a sleeve) using different textiles, and much more!

The Create Your Own Lounge Pants class is the perfect place to challenge your sewing skills. Claudia will expound upon the basic fundamentals of sewing and she will also guide you through the process of creating your very own pair of start-to-finish lounge pants.

Our Learn to Knit Class teaches the basics of knitting to get you started on your first project. The beginner knitting class will cover cast on, knit stitch, and bind off. The class fee includes one skein of yarn, a pair of needles, and a pattern.

Students will learn to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, and weave in ends. Time will also be spent on trouble-shooting, basic pattern reading, and choosing the right tools and yarn for a given project. 

The intent of the KAL / CAL is to enable participants to try out a new skill, design, technique, or yarn type. Most of the designs selected are for advanced beginners and up. We encourage everyone to push their skills a bit and suggest you try a project or two.

This sit and stitch session is perfect for both the beginner and advanced machine embroidery user alike. Choose your project, pack up your machine and join Beth for a day of fun.

Kimmie and Patty have a wealth of quilting experience. They host a sit-n-Sew the third Tuesday of every month. Come bask in their knowledge and sew with your friends. Bring your own projects and a lunch.
