In this course, students will apply two-dimensional design concepts to create works on paper, mixed media photographs, and patterns for textiles and functional objects.
This class will let students explore basic color techniques in abstract painting as it relates to direct observation along with visual ideas that derive from intuitive inspiration.
This class is recommended for anyone coming to Fleisher with no previous drawing instruction or experience. You will be led step-by-step how to begin a drawing starting with the fundamentals: line and tone. In each class we will build on the skills practiced in the previous class.
This course is designed to introduce you to a variety of technical processes, design concepts, and tools essential for casting jewelry. Attention will be given to learning the process of outsourcing carved wax pieces with the discussion of multiples and production of them.
This course will cover all the basics of using a digital camera and general photographic concepts. In addition to the technical aspects of digital photography, we will also explore design strategies and learn how to discuss and evaluate photographs.
We will be modeling clay figures from a live model. All poses will be standing. There will be six successive poses: six: three one week poses, two two week poses, and one three week pose. You will need an armature to do a standing figure.

This course will provide an introduction to woodcut printmaking. Fundamental relief techniques will introduce you to the tools and methods needed to allow you to carve and print from your own relief woodblocks.
This course will give a deep grounding in the methods and principles of traditional animation. Throughout this class you will view short films, experiment with a variety of materials, participate in group discussions, and create a number of short films of your own devising.
